Job Description:

 Sepax Bioscience, Inc. is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and energetic Associate Chemist to join our R&D team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate who is eager to gain hands-on experience in resin synthesis and chemical characterization within a collaborative and innovative environment. This is an entry-level full-time exempt position in the R&D department and based at our office located in Newark, Delaware. 


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in protein biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience in research or industrial lab setting.
  • At least 2 years of experience with:
  • Gene and expression vector design, cloning, PCR, and nucleic acid purification.
  • Protein expression, fermentation, purification, and characterization techniques (e.g., ELISA, Western blot).
  • Operation and maintenance of AKTA FPLC and Agilent HPLC systems.
  • Proficient in Unicorn and ChemStation/OpenLab software.
  • Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Physically capable of performing routine lab duties, including lifting up to 40 pounds.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in protein biochemistry, cell biology, biology, molecular biology or related field.


Responsibilities:

  • Propose, implement, maintain, and deliver existing and/or new capabilities for the expression, purification and characterization of proteins.
  • Deliver high quality materials with appropriate control experiments and documentation.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment including AKTA FPLC and Agilent HPLC systems.
  • Interpret experimental results and refine protocols accordingly.
  • Keep current with the latest developments and techniques in the field.
  • Ensure laboratory safety compliance and proper documentation practices.
  • Present research findings in internal meetings and external scientific venues as needed.

Job Description: 

Sepax Bioscience, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join the sales team for the development of Sepax process chromatographic media and purification business. This technical sales management role will be responsible for building and leading the team focus on selling Sepax brand process chromatographic media, columns and other products to downstream processing and purification users in the biopharmaceutical market. Can be remote or hybrid based at the Delaware Technology Park in Newark DE.

Territory: Global, except greater China


Requirements:

  • BS degree in a scientific discipline, such as Chemistry, Biochemistry or Biology.
  • Minimum 2 years of sales, marketing, or business development experience in the bioprocess industry.
  • Prefer practical lab chromatography experience, such as process development, purification and FPLC systems.
  • Good understanding of the purification of products and markets.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with experience in giving technical seminars and product demonstrations.
  • Self-motivated, well organized, and strong leadership abilities.
  • Possess and maintain a current valid driver’s license and passport.
  • Willing and able to travel to customer sites in territory.
  • Reside close to major cities for airport access.


Responsibilities:

  • This is a technical sales and BD management role responsible for driving sales revenue and growth and developing the business of Sepax brand process chromatographic media and solutions to the global biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Proactively identifying, qualifying, and prospecting business opportunities, positioning Sepax technologies and capabilities, and directing technical discussion.
  • Develop, execute, and implement sales strategies. Work in close relationship with sales support functions to coordinate activities, account management when appropriate and maximize sales.
  • Lead and Execute product demonstrations, internal and external technical trainings, seminars, workshops, and promotional activities and other means as needed, with support from the marketing, sales support, and technical teams.
  • Customer centric and results driven attitude with flexibility to perform all related negotiation tasks when needed. Establish good relationships with customers at various process development points.
